On Saturday 9th June 2007, the Götheborg returns to her home berth after a voyage to China and back which lasted almost 20 months. By then, the vessel will have visited 12 different ports on five different continents.
During the weekend 9-10 June 2007 there will be a huge Welcome Home Party by the inner harbour quay Frihamnspiren, right in the centre of Gothenburg. It will be a sparkling celebration with activities for all the family. Tickets to go aboard will be available at the ship, and if you'd like to follow the Götheborg merchant vessel on her journey into Gothenburg, you can buy a place on one of the escort boats. From 12 June the Götheborg will be berthed at her home pier, Pir 4, at Eriksberg. Tickets are already available to meet the crew, hear fantastic tales from the long journey, and watch films about life on board and the magnificent stops along the way. Take the opportunity to visit the Götheborg merchantman and let the winds of history fill your sails! For more information visit: www.soic.se
